STUDENT EXPERIENCES
“Very good class! Tom is great at explaining his process and thoughts while painting. Learned a lot and helped me get started in the world of painting!”
—Franco
“Obviously I learnt how to stylize things and the many many different paths you can take to do so, but mostly, Tom has a way of understanding art way different that what I had before. He makes you understand that you can make mistakes, sketches that don’t feel right and experiment through the process because it’ll be all new things that you end up learning from, and you’ll get better by them. He has made me enjoy drawing and exploring way more than I used to, and has such a love for art that is contagious!! We all were excited everytime he explained the homework for next week, and I think that, as a teacher, make your students feel that is really powerful. I just wish the mentorship was longer honestly, it was a great experience and my portfolio will benefit from it :D’
—Paloma de Miguel
“Seeing Tom’s painting technique in action was an incredible experience. I have been trying to understand digital painting for a long time, but it never quite clicked and I often struggled. Watching Tom paint and explain his process was extremely helpful. I truly appreciated his approach, which has greatly improved my own. I also gained valuable experience experimenting with stylization and beginning to find my own artistic voice.”
