STUDENT EXPERIENCES

“Sean’s Guide to Success in VisDev was a formative and inspiring step in my journey as an artist. The people I met were varied in experience and perspective, and their critiques and ideas were incredible to see. Sean was always an upbeat and entertaining teacher, willing to engage with every student, regardless of tier, to answer questions, give feedback, and just generally be a friend. The classes didn’t drone on like some I’ve known, and the materials were concise and informative. Sean’s perspective, even aside from VisDev, was a joy to get to know and see, and he will inspire me for the rest of my career.”
Liz Miller

“Sean is a fantastic teacher and he delivered more than he promised. We didn’t just learn about VisDev, we learned about film making and the industry way of working. He pushed us out of our comfort zones and show us our capabilities that we even didn’t know we have within ourselves. Overall, 10/10”
Aaron Thai

“Before joining Sean’s class, I’d been stuck in a year long rut with art. I’d lost confidence in myself and while I was aware of some of the things I needed to improve, I wasn’t sure how to do it. After finishing this course I feel like I’m fully equipped to identify weaknesses and target practice them. It’s also taught me to get outside my comfort zone and try new things.

“The week where we made a short film was one of my favourite weeks and I think the most successful. If I hadn’t been here, I wouldn’t have known how fun it would be and I think this is the beauty of this class.

“Sean doesn’t just teach you about the basics of visual development. He teaches you to try different styles and how to troubleshoot yourself, but also about the value of using different mediums and how allowing yourself to be creative in things outside of drawing and painting (music, skateboarding, embroidery, filming etc) can help you develop knowledge and skills you can bring back to art.

“If you’re like me and you can’t get out of your own way, you should consider taking this course. You’ll get back in touch with the simple joy of creating.”
Linzi G.

“Sean Sevestre does an incredible job explaining the use of style and the work of a visdev artist in a way that feels easy to understand. The assignments felt unique, and the feedback for students was well thought out and honest.”

“Sean’s class was super helpful! He was great at pinpointing aspects of my work that needed improvement and how to develop a better and more critical disposition when approaching my art. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to level up their viz dev skills!”
Sullivan Brown

“Sean’s course completely shifted how I approach visual development. The structure, feedback, and clarity he offers helped me level up both my thinking and my artwork.”

“dude Sean is so chill and talented, I never felt like I was looked down on, I always felt like he was a friend rather than a mentor or teacher, we talking more than just about art, chill dude, hope he does another class soon so I can re do it all over again.”
